Wants & Desires | Aluminum Wheel Clock

This artisan craftsman has taken a unique approach to the wall clock. I love the size of this thing. Simple. Modern. and very Fun. Cycling has always been a part of my life and I think this is a great way to feature that. I think this will be the next addition to the new apartment.

Pizzeria 712

I am going through some withdrawals lately. I worked for a time at a local restaurant called Pizzeria 712. Their dedication to simple sustainable food is something rivaled only by the owners' other culinary offering; Communal located in downtown Provo, UT. For those of you unaware of what you are missing, I offer a word of caution. Once you eat the food prepared by Ethan Kawasaki and his team, you will no longer tolerate the mundane offering of the corporate culinary world. His attention to detail and creativity in the kitchen are a refreshing experience and one that never disappoints. Call ahead for reservations. This is a small restaurant that is often packed to the brim.

Mad Men of Mid-Century Modern Design

A couple of weeks back I stumbled upon this great article about the strong men of modern design. This reads like a who's who of my wants & desires.

Introduction

After reading countless blogs and articles on design, I have decided to channel some of the inspiration into a personal log if you will. I will be posting on the things that inspire me and various influences in my life. Subject matter will vary greatly, but will include fashion, furniture, food, and art. Oak & Madras are symbols of the timlessness & amalgamated nature of the aesthetic I strive for. More to come shortly.
